Hi Friends!
I'm Mike Augeri , president of Lawn King
LLC, and I'm here to tell you it's time to give your lawn a breather…literally!
Your lawn needs a breath of fresh air.
Are you tired of spending time and money on your lawn with no results?
You've done the basics of watering, mowing, fertilizing and still it's not
enough! For a greener, thicker, healthier lawn you need to do what the
Pros do! You need to aerate!
Insects, diseases, improper watering and lack of fertilizer are often
blamed for a lawn's decline when the real culprit is soil compaction. Lawn
aeration is the only method to alleviate soil compaction, thus giving root
systems the adequate amount of air, water, and fertilizer to create a
healthy green lawn.
Aeration
SOIL COMPACTION - Turfgrass in
compacted soil (left) grows slowly, lacks vigor and becomes thin or
does not grow at all. Core aeration (center) removes small cores of
soil, depositing them on the surface of the turf. This improves the
depth and extent of turfgrass rooting (right), and it can help save
money on your water bill. (Courtesy of Textron turf care

Lawn aeration is the process of
mechanically removing soil plugs and small portions of thatch from
the lawn. Lawn aeration relieves soil compaction and improves the
ability of roots to grow deeper into the soil and expand. The
mechanical removal of soil plugs is generally recognized as the best
way to improve air and gas exchange, along with water and fertilizer
intake.

ROOT GROWTH - Core
aeration allows air, water and fertilizer to better reach the root
zone. This stimulates root growth to create healthier, stronger
turfgrass plants. (Courtesy of Textron turf care products)

Aeration has both long and short term benefits:
- promotes air exchange between the soil and atmosphere
- reduces soil compaction
- deeper, healthier root growth
- Improves nutrient uptake and use
- decreases water run off and puddling
- conserves water by improving soil water uptake
- penetrates heavy thatch, enhancing thatch break down
- makes the turf more heat and drought tolerant
- enriches surface soil improving resiliency and cushioning
- You get a greener healthier lawn!
Mechanical aeration
is one of the most preventative maintenance services you can do to
insure a healthy green lawn. It's like changing the oil in your car.
Severe soil compaction calls for on going aeration. Soil
compaction is not going to be solved with one service. Seriously
compacted lawns may need to be aerated two or three times a year,
both as a preventative and curative measure. No one can estimate how
long the benefits of aeration will last, but the experts agree
benefits increase with each service.
Lawn King, LLC provides this service for as low as $75.00
for most front lawns and only $125.00 for both front and back lawns
of average size. Front lawns larger than 5,000 sq. ft. and front and
back lawns larger than 8000 sq. ft. are given a special discounted
price of $12.00 for each additional 1,000 sq. ft.
Remember with Lawn King, LLC you can expect
expert, courteous service by a trained professional using exclusive
